So nice to finally put a face on our mistery angel! You have an absolutely beautiful family. Your love for them shines through each and every picture. No wonder you have a smile from ear to ear. Hope your day has gone well! When we got off the phone last night I went staight to johnny and gave him a great big hug and said " your angel sent that to you".Just thought we''d give you a quick update. Johnathan has had a rough day today, he is in great pain in his back. First thing tomorrow morning he will be taken down for an MRI. The doctors hope to clear up this frustrating mystery. Please keep him in your prayers. May god bless you and keep you safe always!
All our love,
Jasmine James Alyssa Johnny Emma

Hi, I was just checking in on Caleb. Glad to see he''s doing well. I read a little of your recent journals. Regarding RSV... my son (PROM @ 16 wks, del. @ 31 wks and has a heart defect) got RSV when he was 11 months old. We were pretty good about protecting him, but there is only so much you can do. He was hospitalized for 5 days, then we went on vacation, and he developed a pneumothorax (collapsed lung). So he had to have a chest tube and was in a PICU for another 5 days. Since then, he gets sicker than the average kid and he has asthma which I believe is directly related to the RSV.
So your plan for Caleb sounds good. I think his siblings are going to be his greatest risk. My kids love the fun hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works.
I just read your journal and wanted to let you know about a support group that meets at our church every month for children with Ciliac Disease. These moms get together to plan gluten free meals and encourage each other. If you are interested in some info I can get your Heidi Couch''s number.
Love to all,
Hope you will be able to attend our Open House this Saturday.
I feel the same about the pressure to send Ethan to preschool. We''re home-pre-schooling, too. It''s fun. But not a lot different than what we''ve always done. I love that learning is such a natural process.
Katelyn and Grandma L''s kisses recipe.
Ingredients: one box pillsbury pie crusts, butter, cinnamon, sugar and love.
Put a little flour on counter. Unroll one pie crust and gently roll with rolling pin. Use a rubber spatula to spread butter all over. Put equal parts cinnamon and sugar and lots of love in a container with a sprinkling top. Sprinkle all over. This take two people, Grandma and me, start at one side and roll crust into a long piece (like a jello roll). Cut in 1" pieces. Bake @ 400 degees until light brown. Let cool a little. Eat Mmmmmmmmmmmmm
Yay! Glad to hear he''s doing so well. As for the jealousy. It''s been 6 months and I still get jealous/bitter a bit when I see a hugely pregnant woman. I think it''s preemie mom''s ways of grieving somewhat the part of pregnancy that we lost out on.
Glad he''s doing well. I know the ped''s wanted emma gaining about 30 grams a day. She ended up gaing about 1/2 ounce to an ounce a day so sunds like Caleb is right on track for that. YAY for being able to snuggle and feed him on demand. That was the BEST part of being home. I am SO happy for you!
I haven''t been here in a couple of days... since the nieces are in town visiting... and tonight at Zachary''s baptism, Kerry asked if Caleb came home. She had gone to my blog to get the link and had been reading.
I am so glad he got to come home and can''t wait to hear how the first few days at home have gone!!!
I am so happy for you and your family! I haven''t kept good tabs on you lately, but when I saw the announcement, I just kept my fingers crossed that all was well. Huge kudos for lil''Caleb, keep up the great job littleman!
Caleb will be home in no time. I no how stressful and impatient those last few days/weeks are when it''s truly a weighting game of gaining weight consistently. As for him going 3 hours. That is norma. Keep in mind that for a preemie eating is like runnin a marathon it burns ALOT of calories so while eating more often will bring in more clories, he''s also more likely to burn those calories and then some if he''s eating too often and "tired". I know it''s hard, but just hang in there!
Little Caleb is still in my prayers. I am believeing God for no CF in ALL of his tests! The doctors do not know it yet but God has his healing hand on this little guy.
The verse in my devotion yesterday reminds me of this situation.
But the natural nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teaching and revelations of the Spirit of God,for they are folly(meaningless nonsense)to him; he is incapable of knowing them because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.
Praise the Lord!! I am so glad about the results and that he is feeding again. I was thinking of you today as I went to see Zachary. They are the same age!! Know that I am continuing to keep you all in my prayers... especially that he gets to go home soon!!!
