I was thinking last night...
A year ago yesterday, Eric caught a gift from heaven in his hands.
Wow.
Isn't that a cool thing for him to be able to say?
Or you could say that a gift from heaven dropped right into his hands... either way is just so cool to think about.
Pictures of the party are up!Comments:Add a comment:

Tonight, Conner was inducted into Toddlerdom. Somehow being a year old does that.
We had family and friends over for a birthday party after the evening service today. Most of the attendees went to the service because my brother-in-law was preaching tonight. (I need to get a copy of the service!) So we had dinner when everybody got back from that. It made for a late dinner and even later cake and ice cream but I really think everyone had fun.
What was especially fun though was to see Conner be included as part of the "group" by his older sister and cousin. It was like having a birthday all of a sudden let him into their "club" and now he was interesting enough to play with. They've played with him before but not quite like this. This was the first time it was truly a 3-some intsead of 2 kids and a baby brother.
Very cool.
Conner didn't know what to think of the singing. He just sort of stared at us like we were weird. When it came time for the cake, he didn't really dip into it. But once he got a handful, he sure wasn't a very neat eater. His face and hands were covered.
Then it came time for presents... he really got into this. The paper had to be taken off a small piece at a time and he had to carefully drop each piece of paper on the floor. The good part about this was that he gave me lots of time to take pictures! (Thus speaks a scrapbooker.)
I am happy to report that though Conner did have a few favorites among his gifts, he seemed to really like all of them. Katelyn was a bit jealous of some though and wants some items put on her Christmas Wish List... Ask if you want more info. I can share that privately.
Now hopefully Conner will sleep well tonight so that I can get some sleep.
I'm going to be putting a link to some scrapbook pages that I've done lately in the links section. Not tonight though... I'm tired and need to go to bed.Comments:Add a comment:
