The push for Pennsic...
Katelyn:
Undertunics: 4 completed, 1 almost completed
Overtunics: 1 completed, 1 almost completed, 1 planned
Need a cloak still & some sort of hat/veil
Conner:
T-tunics: 2 completed, need 2-3 more (they sew up quickly so I'm waiting to see what scraps I have)
Need a poncho/cloak and a hat/hood
Kimberly:
Undertunics: 2 almost completed, 1 half completed, 2 to go.
Overtunics: 2 completed, 1 almost completed, want 2-3 more.
Cloak is in working order, veil is fine but a 2nd wouldn't hurt if I have time.
And I have a week to do this (but I want to finish them by the weekend.)
We leave either Thursday or Friday to go to Pennsic.
If you want to follow the Pennsic News, check out the Pennsic Independent online version at http://www.pennsicindependent.com/
I know that's not a clickable link but you can copy and paste it. I don't know when the first issue reporting on this year's war is but it'll be there.
So what is Pennsic? It is a medieval war between two halves of the US (basically). Check out http://www.pennsicwar.org/penn34/index.html and read all about it. Katelyn, Conner and I are going this year!Comments:Add a comment:

I think I just found a new hobby!
Digital scrapbooking... I just got back some spreads that I'd created and sent out to be printed and all I can say is, "Wow!" They look better on paper then they did on the screen. I'm quite impressed.
I bought a new camera this year... or rather, I was given it for Christmas since many very nice people gave me money to pick one out with. It's a Nikon D70 (a digital SLR). I really wanted a new camera because my pictures that I was getting printed out just weren't looking very good. And I was pretty sure that the 1.3 megapixel camera was part of the problem. But I also wanted to learn to do more with the pictures I took. So I decided to get an SLR. I've been so pleased with it. But then I discovered that part of my problem with the quality of prints wasn't the camera... it was the developer. So as I was reading about digital scrapbooking, I found out about a place online that prints scrapbook page size photos for a very reasonable price. I tried them out and was amazed at the quality of the "test prints" I sent them. (They gave me 5 8x10's free! They offer it to all their customers. I guess that's a good idea when you're catering to professional photograpers instead of complete newbies like me.)
