Merry Christmas, Everybody!
We're enjoying our day here. It's been a rather peaceful morning which is good because Eric is exhausted. The kids opened their presents and Eric and I each got one this morning. Every body is very happy with what they got. The kids have been enjoying them all morning.
Favorites seem to be the shovels because the older kids spent nearly an hour out shoveling anything they could find that needed shoveling. We have the cleanest driveway on the culdisac! I'm enjoying it while I can because the time will come that they think shoveling is a chore instead of a game.
Caleb is playing with his new trucks and a little football that he picked out earlier this week. He also got a pair of little snow boots and when he opened them I said, "Wow" so he spent the next few minutes walking around saying, "Ow... Ow... Ow..." Eric and I had a good giggle.
Katelyn was given some "makeup" which has us cracking up. She put it on this morning and I took lots of future blackmail pictures. Her face is currently nearly completely covered in pink and purple. And stickers... the box came with a sheet of "body stickers" which I think were meant to be sticker earrings but they're currently *all* on her face. She had a bunch of fun though and as I reminded Eric, it's limited quantity so she won't look like this every day. :D It sure is cute for now though! We're going to see if it lasts past her nap this afternoon and are considering letting her wear it to the Open House at my parents house.
Conner is just learning to recognize his name and knows it starts with a C but didn't realize that Caleb's name also does. So he accidently opened two of Caleb's gifts. He liked them but understood that they're Caleb's (after a little explaining...).
We had some gluten free pancakes for breakfast and haven't decided on lunch. Today is all about relaxing and so far we're succeeding!
